Can someone tell me the difference between these two.

The quick answer (no pun intended) is that quick detailer is used to remove light dust, finger prints and smudges from the paint and quick wax does the same BUT also leaves a layer of protection behind where the quick detailer doesn't.

In my experiences dealing with humid conditions, Quik Detailer (QD) is not to be used on paint unless it's a first step, such as cleaning/clearing a panel before compounding without actually washing it. I also use it as a "lube" for the clay bar and "wet"-sanding. In the humidity of the Southeast, QD is sticky/oily in a way, and just streaks, clouds, and "holograms" badly, if used as a last-step. Instead, I use UWWA/D115 for everything QD is marketed to do, such as cleaning/waxing paint, trim, glass, etc, as a first/last step as needed, with very little to no streaks, clouds or holograms (often followed by QW). Quik Wax (QW) is almost literally a spray version of a particular regular wax (Gold Class, Ultimate, and NXT, anyway), and while I can use QW for VERY light cleaning or touch-up, it's best used to fully re-wax and "boost" the regular wax job previously applied by hand or dual-action machine (DA). So, it's easier for me to think of QD as a first-step cleaner, not used very often, QW as a last-step wax used almost daily (and then UWWA/D115 as an all-purpose detailer first-to-last step).

I prefer the QW over QD, when I wipe down the car i'd rather leave some protection behind and shine

Just be aware that a QW does not have the proper lubricity or chemical make up to remove dust or even dirt. It can cause scratches and swirls. A QD will have the ability to wipe off light dust as that is it's intended purpose. Heavier contaminants than that and again one risks the chance of scratches and swirls. Both have their place.

Also Ultimate Quik Detailer leaves some protection behind. Not as much as say ultimate quik wax.
