  • Almost consistent small sap drops on my stang

Trees that divide my house and neighbors are depositing small amounts of randomly placed round brown drops of sap onto my mustang.

Cleaning alone doesn't remove them, but Claying does.

Obviously I don't want to constantly clay my car, everytime I wax or seal it. Especially since I'm in the process of doing a 1 step paint correction to my car, which btw is coming out great thanks to UP.

So is there any other known non abrasive, or less abrasive way to remove them?

Glass Cleaner can work well... but that removes wax too....

A solvent like a bug & tar remover can work too, but (same story) that would remove wax..

We can go out for a drive without her makeup and she looks fine. If I want to take the black one out, it is three or four hours in the "bathroom" to get ready.

Gonna try both, see what works, I'm not concerned with wax removal. I would only do it before applying a fresh wax any way.

Does meguiars offer a bug and tar remover? Never seen one from them locally.

          I dont really think so.

Some of the Pro line cleaners could act like one I guess, just being a strong cleaner.

What about the Meguiars Body Solvent (I think that's what it's called)?
            Is that still around?

It was pretty aggressive from memory, but still....

I've used Goof Off for such things, then hit the area with D156 to put some form of protection down.

I have sap drops almost year round. I used to use QD, but that often streaked, and now I use UWWA/D115 (Ultimate Wash & Wax Anywhere), which makes short work of such things and leaves carnauba+synthetic protection behind.
