New user here. So...Hello.
So, last summer I purchased my mother's van from her (she bought a small car) as it was pretty well cared for and she never had an issue with it and I told my '03 black Envoy to get lost. I've never been a huge fan of minivans, but I have admit that I enjoy this vehicle. Go figure.
It's a 2006 Montana, 162000 kilometers, fully loaded: Leather interior, extended version, chrome wheels, heated seats and so on. So, at the same time I started using Meguiar's products to maintain the vehicle as I made a conscious decision to take care of this one (I've always been horrible with my other vehicles).
Anyway, long story short...this is what I've decided on ( and have been) doing to maintain the van:
1) Every 1 or 2 weeks, wash with Ultimate Wash & Wax.
2) At same time, or 3-4 weeks, apply Ultimate Quik Wax.
Repeat.
Of course, there's the tire dressing and interior care as well.
The only thing I may add is an application of "true" wax in late fall: my winter maintenance exists of running it through a touchless wash every couple of weeks or so.
Although the paint is in pretty good shape, there are some minor, hard to see, swirls etc, but I honestly don't want to get into a complete correction (a lot of surface area on this van= a lot of work). Doesn't make sense to me for this type of vehicle. There are 2-3 easy to see scratches/scuffs that I'll be fixing at some point, though.
So, does all that make sense as good way to go?
Included a couple of photos taken a day or so after I cleaned it up this week. It pops better in person...the camera didn't do the best job.
Thanks!
