Hi all been some time sense I've been on here. I have a black 93 ford ranger, the paint is dull I want to try to brighten it up I just bought a PC7424Xp I used Ultimate Compound by hand and it helped so I wanted to try it with the DA. What type of pad would I need to use?

Re: Needing help with my black truck
Use a yellow polishing pad.Originally posted by BluelineI own a silver vehicle and a black vehicle owns me. The black one demands attention, washing, detailing, waxing and an occasional dinner out at a nice restaurant. The silver one demands nothing and it looks just fine. I think the black vehicle is taking advantage of me, and the silver car is more my style. We can go out for a drive without her makeup and she looks fine. If I want to take the black one out, it is three or four hours in the "bathroom" to get ready.

If using pads from Lake Country line, then you can start from yellow pad ( the CCS Pad Style ) + Meguairs Ultimate Polish but if you want more agressive then use Meguiars Ultimate Compound as one step paint correction.
If using Meguiars pads, then the Yellow foam pad + Ultimate Polish to start off and lets see the result from first polishing session.
