Agreed wth guy. The moment u see any bird droppings on your car remove it ASAP as to avoid any etchings. Aside all that it turned out awesome! Now from here u can keep using ur detailed or take the time and pick people's brai on mol and learn to do it yourself. I think u will find it more satisfying to learn and take care of your own car tho. Good luck to you mate!

Been meaning to say the title of your thread cracks me up every time. So true, and so funny
Anyway, great looking car, and I'm glad it's all worked out for the best.

I basically picture monkeys like these in the back of every car dealership.

That's about what I had in mind. People with the best of intentions, but no training. The detailers they bring in are often no better. I once caught the guys at my dealer using a flippin' brush on my car. That was the last time I let them wash it (I take it in for service). Your buffer trails were actually minor compared to some of the absolute horrors I've seen from dealers. They just don't get it, and are all about volume. Oh well, now we knowNon-Garaged Daily Driver, DAMF System + M101, Carnauba Finish Enthusiast

They're not even using the 2 bucket method! Stupid monkeys!Originally posted by BluelineI own a silver vehicle and a black vehicle owns me. The black one demands attention, washing, detailing, waxing and an occasional dinner out at a nice restaurant. The silver one demands nothing and it looks just fine. I think the black vehicle is taking advantage of me, and the silver car is more my style. We can go out for a drive without her makeup and she looks fine. If I want to take the black one out, it is three or four hours in the "bathroom" to get ready.

Re: Stupid dealership monkeys! My new paint is marred
At the dealer, I'm lucky because they're proactive. They actually ask when it comes in and write on the slip "NO WASH", and they have an area where you can watch, etc, so they'll ask while we're chatting about the car. The guys who usually get mine all know not to send it to the washers, too, and I'm not the only one who has told them customer cars come out striped of wax and covered with spots and swirls and have to be washed and waxed again - they're just doing it wrong.
But, as in the hysterical pic above, the people in the car often don't know any better, eitherThey just smile and think, awww, what a nice touch it is for the dealer to wash the car. I did too, the first time. Then I had to go home and wash and wax it all over again after they're junk stripped my wax, and swirled and spotted the car all to hell. Stupid monkeys!
On the other hand, especially with non-dealers, you have to remember these guys deal with a wide variety of cars (and customers) and can't treat every little detail like we would. I've got the cleaning part down, so I don't expect them to be detailers while they're doing some mechanical work. It might also help to avoid taking it for any work if you just got it perfectly clean.Non-Garaged Daily Driver, DAMF System + M101, Carnauba Finish Enthusiast

Re: Stupid dealership monkeys! My new paint is marred
OMG.. If its not one thing its another!
I went to take Goo Gone to the drivers door jamb because there was sticky residue left over from something. I have no idea what. As I was walking away I noticed what looked like black spray paint on the drivers side wheel arch.I mean, WTF? The car is 1 week old. Also I noticed a dried drip of clear coat on the tip of the font bumper cover. Something fishy about all this.
Also noticed the detailer didn't get all the wax off from where some sort of plastic protection is. Should this come off easily?

Are you sure that's paint? Looks like clay will take care of it, and then you re-polish and/or re-wax. As for the wax at the edge of the protection film, use some detailer and an edge of a rag. It'll come away.Non-Garaged Daily Driver, DAMF System + M101, Carnauba Finish Enthusiast
