Re: Ultimate Wash and Wax anywhere..
Ultimate Quik Detailer is just that, a detail spray and as such it and others like it are designed to allow for the safe removal of light dust and fingerprints. In "Ultimate" guise it contains some hydrophobic polymers that will promote water beading, but it's not at all a "durable" layer of protection.
Ultimate Wash & Wax Anywhere is a totally different animal. It is a true "waterless wash" - a car wash in a bottle. It can be used on a car far, far dirtier than anything you would ever consider using a quick detail spray on. It actually breaks down and microencapulates the dirt, making it safe for use even after the vehicle has been driven long distances in the rain, or has been outside for a prolonged period of time. You definitely use more of this type of product than you do a quick detailer as you want, and need, more product on the surface to safely do its job. You'll also use more towels since you'll be working on a much dirtier surface, and towel management is critical to using a waterless wash.Michael Stoops

Re: Ultimate Wash and Wax anywhere..
UWWA (Detailer D115 is the bulk concentrate version) is one of those products likely to exceed your expectations. I tried it recently and was completely blown away at how easy it is to wash and wax the car. I don't know how Meguiar's did it, but it cleans all surfaces, even glass, without smearing or residue, leaving carnauba and sealant protection behind just like two quik waxes, but does not cloud and does not require buffing. It will save you a lot of maintenance effort, even if you're already replacing some bucket washing with QD/QW. Can't rave enough about the stuffNon-Garaged Daily Driver, DAMF System + M101, Carnauba Finish Enthusiast

Re: Ultimate Wash and Wax anywhere..
Oh yes. I also use it inside on the glass, where I used to use a small amount of QW or just the QW towel on the inside glass. Glass cleaners (the ones I've used, like Windex) are a total waste of time, as you probably know. The QW towel was the only way I found to eliminate streaking, but I found UWWA/D115 (and I'm sure D114) does every bit as well.Non-Garaged Daily Driver, DAMF System + M101, Carnauba Finish Enthusiast

Ahh yes, that's an epic illustrated review.^ I've taken the time to check it out several times in the past. A+
As far as my experience with D115, the stuff is simply phenomenal. It's like the more you use it, the easier your vehicle is to wash with the stuff. I could go on and on.. But anyone who uses the stuff knows exactly what I mean without having to explain. Lol.

Re: Ultimate Wash and Wax anywhere..
Yes, Marc, your thorough review, Mike's thread, and others like Eldo and Guz, were all what got me to finally try it. The problem was I'd had some 3 years of frustration with trying to WW with QD/QW in usually humid conditions, and was skeptical about yet another product. Yet, this one is everything they say it is and moreNon-Garaged Daily Driver, DAMF System + M101, Carnauba Finish Enthusiast

Re: Ultimate Wash and Wax anywhere..
Yes D115 is my absolute favorite Megs product. The stuff is amazing. I use 8:1 for the paint / plastics and 4:1 for the wheels. I have a lot of other Megs products to compare it against, and its my goto for just about everything apart from the tires and glass. The only reason I prefer to use D120 for the glass, is cos it does a perfect job and is a more cost effective than D115. But D115 does as good of a job.
