I'm new to all of this and trying to get my shopping list together, have spent some time here and on Autogeek, and while the info is overwhelming I've learned a lot! My question is I've read about other foam pad numbers, but am curious as to how many pads, either the new thin foam ones, or the microfiber pads it would take to correct/ polish/wax a vehicle? Just curious if it is the same number or if they require less pads! Thanks in advance!

Re: # of Pads Needed
Generally, you'd want 2 x cutting, 2 x polishing and 2 x finishing pads.
But opinions will differ...Originally posted by BluelineI own a silver vehicle and a black vehicle owns me. The black one demands attention, washing, detailing, waxing and an occasional dinner out at a nice restaurant. The silver one demands nothing and it looks just fine. I think the black vehicle is taking advantage of me, and the silver car is more my style. We can go out for a drive without her makeup and she looks fine. If I want to take the black one out, it is three or four hours in the "bathroom" to get ready.

Thank you!! In general I think I am going to stay in the Meguiars family for most of my products, only I may use Wolfgang for my sealant. The pads have me all confused, microfiber or foam? I have a tuxedo black F150, with minor drying swirls 2 years old, just want to make the paint pop!
