  • # of Pads Needed

I'm new to all of this and trying to get my shopping list together, have spent some time here and on Autogeek, and while the info is overwhelming I've learned a lot! My question is I've read about other foam pad numbers, but am curious as to how many pads, either the new thin foam ones, or the microfiber pads it would take to correct/ polish/wax a vehicle? Just curious if it is the same number or if they require less pads! Thanks in advance!

    Re: # of Pads Needed

    Generally, you'd want 2 x cutting, 2 x polishing and 2 x finishing pads.

    But opinions will differ...

We can go out for a drive without her makeup and she looks fine. If I want to take the black one out, it is three or four hours in the "bathroom" to get ready.

Thank you!! In general I think I am going to stay in the Meguiars family for most of my products, only I may use Wolfgang for my sealant. The pads have me all confused, microfiber or foam? I have a tuxedo black F150, with minor drying swirls 2 years old, just want to make the paint pop!

The microfiber finishing pads can be used for polish and lsp correct? May just order the correction starter kit add 2 additional finishing pads and go from there, oh and maybe get 302 as well!

Generally not for LSP. You'd usually use a black foam finishing pad for that..

I like to have 4 of each pad I plan on using.
