My interior is also fairly clean besides the dust and some spots here and there so I will get the milder cleaning product, as you suggested. I hope this will be enough UV protection. To be honest, the interior doesn't look too bad despite only using water for years. Though I have to say that the dash area is looking slightly gray rather than black. If I can make this area turn a bit darker again, that'll be great. Thanks Guz.
DUB does the same thing as Sonax at a fraction of the cost.

QID will not alter the appearance of the interior. If you want to darken the interior a little then natural shine would do it. It darkens the least and adds UV as well. The new car scent protectant would be the next one I recommend. I have a couple reviews on these two in the interior forum.

The Sonax cost around $5 because I got it as part of a deal with a brush. If not for that, I would have likely gone with the DUB wheel cleaner. I will definitely check out the natural shine - seems like a fine product . The new car scent protectant sounds nice but I'm cautious about it - I wouldn't want that smell to be around, so this product wouldn't make much sense. I really appreciate it, Guz.

      Question:

Do any of you guys use the D114 as a waterless wash on a regular basis? I'm wondering about this product. I'm mainly going to use the rinseles washes but sometimes a waterless would be used too. I want something that can handle a bit of a dirty car and still safely clean.

      Thanks!

If it is too dirty of a car then you would want to do a once over on the car with a pressure washer or at a coin op to knock off the majority of the heavier stuff.

I tend to prefer using it as a rinseless because I am just as quick with rinseless methods as I am with waterless, but it is safer for the paint.

I like to pressure wash the car before I use a waterless wash. This would generally be my method when I do a waterless. I would prefer to also pressure wash the car before a rinseless too but I think I will let that slide sometimes.

Rinseless would also be what I would prefer to use most of the time though. I am just wondering of this product's safeness when using it as a waterless on a car that has dirt but is not too dirty. Thanks Das.

Your towels are your limiting factor on safety. With a rinseless your towel is saturated. When using a waterless you are depending more on the slickness of the product itself.
My rule of thumb is if it is just dust then waterless is fine. If it has rained on the car and you can't easily wipe the dirt off then rinseless.

The scent of the new car scent protectant is not that strong and will not linger. I only smell it when I spray it onto the foam applicator. You will like Natural Shine.

I save clean rinseless wash and pour it into a pump sprayer. It works as a waterless wash and as a pre-soak for when the car is a little dirtier.

I use D114 as a waterless at 1:128 and have found it works great as long as the car has a good coat of wax on it. It doesn't work so well if your wax is wearing thin.

I've recently picked up a gallon of D115 and mixed up my 1st batch at 1:6
So far I don't see much of a difference when using it as a waterless compared to D114. I'm going to keep trying different dillution ratios with it though..

I see ... It seems to be a very nice product. I'm going to look at some of the recommendation and will get one. Much appreciated.

Which microfiber towels do you use and would recommend? I've got soft paint on my car and after polishing, I don't want to bring back swirls. Thanks Guz!

Ah, so the waterless wash does work well if the car is decently maintained. Good to know. I'm thinking of going with a combination of the stronger dilution (1:128) and the lighter one (1:256). That way it's a good balance of the two. Keep in touch with how things go. Thanks Eldorado.

                    Re: D114 questions

I use these for rinseles. These are very plush. They come in a couple colors. I have the orange ones and they do bleed so wash tem separately from other towels unless you want a pinkish looking supreme shine towel.

Soft edgeless towel that will keep seams from scratching your paint. Treat your car right with this great towel that is the definition of the word "plush".

Soft paint can be tricky. Just be sure to not use a lot of pressure when using a rinseless wash. Check out the video with Jason Rose on how to use D114 and also the Gary Dean method on youtube.

I've been interested in these towels so good to know your using them. Might these towels be OK for waterless too or is something a bit thicker better for that? I prefer to just use one towel that I can use for both rinseless and waterless. I did a rinseless wash last year and just simply dragged the towel rather than applying pressure on it. This time I will check out my method and go from there. I prefer using plenty of towels in a bucket and grabbing a clean one. Thank you.

They work for waterless as well. They will drag like any towel since they are dry. You may want to spritz it a couple times with some waterless wash solution to add some lubrication to the towel. I have not had any problems with these from the rag company. They work a lot better than the supreme shine microfibers for rinseless and waterless.

Very nice to hear. These towels seem very nice. I was also looking at some MFT towels since I have some towels from them but they sometimes feel grabby and when they're dry, they cling to my fingers. Maybe that's not a good reason to justify switching to something else but I would prefer a towel that was not as clingy. I'm looking forward to using these. I was also looking at some towels but I'm liking these. Appreciate it, Guz!

I use these towels as well. Really nice for rinseless washing. I use the blue ones for paint and the orange ones for wheels.

Great to hear, Das! Your treating your wheels very nicely with these towels, haha.

For drying, how do you guys do it? A panel at a time? I know that with a regular wash some people use a QD type product but with a rinseless wash, I'm still trying to figure it out. I want a way to minimize the chance of swirling the paint so I'm thinking of simply doing a rinseless on the whole car first and then coming back around to dry it. I'm thinking of applying D114 or a QD type product on the car as well as the drying towel.

Would like to hear what you guys think.

Very nice to be here! Thanks.

I work on one panel at a time. I will pre-soak a panel with the remaining solution I have stored in a pump sprayer and then come back with my rinseless towel and wipe that panel. Then dry and lightly buff. I will often come back with detail spray (M135) to remove any remaining residue or D156.
