I own a silver vehicle and a black vehicle owns me. The black one demands attention, washing, detailing, waxing and an occasional dinner out at a nice restaurant. The silver one demands nothing and it looks just fine. I think the black vehicle is taking advantage of me, and the silver car is more my style. We can go out for a drive without her makeup and she looks fine. If I want to take the black one out, it is three or four hours in the "bathroom" to get ready.
I've used my share of UP bottles, it's very user friendly IMO, great for anyone wanting to learn how to polish a car.
Very easy to remove if you don't over work it, I make four section passes only when using it.
Haven't used it in a while being my go to Polish is of the 205, I find the 205 has a longer work time, and it's superior to UP.
I'm on the DAMF kick now, love it, in fact that's the system I now use mostly in my shop.
One more thing I should mention when using the UP, don't add too much of the polish on your pad, I use 3-4 small pea size drops of it once my pad is primed.

I have nearly a full bottle which I was going to throw out because it was so hard to remove. While I certainly did not add too much polish, I "may" have over worked it. Perhaps I will give it one more try in the spring before getting rid it.
That's what I'm afraid of especially applying by hand, that's why I've been asking about Black Wax and Color X. Went around today to find Color X no luck my only place here is Canadian(Crappy) Tire.

I was just doing some experimenting with UP today and yesterday afternoon.
Put it up against 1500 sanding marks using the PC, and the blue Rupes microfiber disc.

It annoyed me also when ColorX became unavailable. You can still find it on line if you want to be "hosed" with shipping charges. If you cannot find Black Wax, you can use Mother's Cleaning Wax Lots of that stuff at CT or Home Hardware. It is basically the same stuff, and quite good, and you can put Meguiar's over it.
There are some rare situations where UP will act a bit finicky on some paints, but it's actually pretty rare. Our former COO had a BMW M3 that would hold on to everything like glue. Even M205 was almost impossible to remove from that car and M205 is just a dream to work with. If you are encountering a situation where UP is fighting you a bit, back off on the amount of product being used and work it thoroughly. A bit too much product run at a short cycle on certain paints can force this issue.
As for ColorX becoming difficult to find, we feel your pain. If we could dictate which products are carried at which stores we certainly would, but it's not up to us to determine this.
