A 2013 new with this been done before we got it, is it ok to still clay , compound , polish, wax, to it, or will this stop it getting the result? it is a holden sv6 fg , always had holdens, ss, clubs, gts.

Only wanting to do detail to car, and was just wondering if this protection they put on it stops me getting a good clean or does it come off. The car yards offer this paint protection, when buying and was done by previous owner, as to make washing cars easier.Comment

I don't know when you last clayed the car but I would do that. After you do that inspect the paint. If you are content with the look then just go ahead and wax. If you need to remove swirls and scratches then do a test spot with the least aggressive product. A polish or compound will more than likely remove the dealer protection. The protection could already be gone if this car has not been detailed in quite sometime.Comment

I have not clayed it yet, and thanks about that protection will come off or might already. I cant wait to get started on it, as I have done black cars before, by hand, and the sure come up great, and when seeing many others in here it sure is neat seeing how everyone gets great results.
