Re: Black car with paint protection applied.
Only wanting to do detail to car, and was just wondering if this protection they put on it stops me getting a good clean or does it come off. The car yards offer this paint protection, when buying and was done by previous owner, as to make washing cars easier.

Re: Black car with paint protection applied.
I don't know when you last clayed the car but I would do that. After you do that inspect the paint. If you are content with the look then just go ahead and wax. If you need to remove swirls and scratches then do a test spot with the least aggressive product. A polish or compound will more than likely remove the dealer protection. The protection could already be gone if this car has not been detailed in quite sometime.
