I drove off a parking lot and something was on the ground, ended up driving over it and it made a bad noise. I checked out the car later and there are a few 5mm to 10mm marks on the lower edge of my car door. They were white in color. I rubbed at it with some Quik Detailer and the white is gone, but I can feel the scratch with fingernail and doesn't look like it went through the paint. My question is what should I do to protect the paint from further damage since it feels like the clearcoat is gone in that specific area. Thanks.

Re: Can I leave a minor scratch alone?
First two images of the nick on the door, and the last one is on the thing that runs below the door. I think my goals are to prioritize preventing rust and future peeling of clear coat and to protect it from further worsening damage. Lesser priority is making it look invisible. I don't have any polishing/sanding tools with me.
