    Yeah, the photo looked a little 'off'. It's hard to capture exactly what your eye is seeing with a camera sometimes.

    I'd try the test spot with Ultimate Compound with the Meguiars polishing pad at around speed 5. Then I'd follow with Ultimate Polish with a finishing pad like Mike has said at speed 4.

    I personally use M205 on my black paint as the polishing step and use a finishing pad set even lower at speed 3 and use very little pressure while letting the product work with the paint.

      My brothers 03 Pontiac Grand Prix is victory red. The last time I did his car I used UC with a lake country orange compounding pad, UP on a white lake country polishing pad and ULW applied by hand. It really made the red paint pop and shine.
