I've always had it sling. Never past the bottom section of the car. I finally had to take for a spin and let it sling, then remove with qd and mf towel. I have to put two coats on because one didn't cover tire. Never dries. Have let sit for two days and still can get residue off with my finger. Never had that problem with nxt insane shine spray. Just bought some hot shine to try it. I love the look of endurance but hate the mess. Doesn't last as long as advertised either.

It seems there are several people now coming out of the woodwork ,as they say, who are having the same issue as i am with the Endurance tire spray , which only tells me that im NOT doing anythin wrong , IE to much product ,tires not being clean ,not allowing the car to sit for at least 15 mins , which is fine i am not tryin to be right or stand out as though i'm a know it all, anyway is it wise to keep usingthe tire spray but instead of spraying it on the tire do you think i can spray the product on a mf towelanc apply it this way becausd i still have two full aresol cans ,i am not so sure how productive they will look - just a thought - i would like to hear yours !

      thank you

This is not with Endurance but I will share how I apply Hot Shine from Megs. (I would do it the same way if I had Endurance)

After the tire is nice and clean the way I do it is to apply the product to an old terry cloth towel and rub it in to the tire.
If I think it is necessary I will do a second coat, and let it sit and then rub it off as well.

What I do with Endurance Gel is apply it to an old (dedicated) foam applicator pad, then apply it to the tire.

Maybe you could try the same with the spray.

We can go out for a drive without her makeup and she looks fine. If I want to take the black one out, it is three or four hours in the "bathroom" to get ready.

Hey party people, can i get an answer to my question please , that is if you have one - instead of spraying it on the tire directly do you think i can spray the product on a mf towel and apply it this way because i still have two full aresol cans in the spray, yesterday i had a chance to buy the gel i waited because i'd be wasting money if i purchased the gel seeing i have 2 cans of the spray ,i am not so sure how nice they will look trying it this way - just a thought

Re: I need "the answer" if you have one !

I don't really like using a towel on tires.
I tried it a couple of times with the endurance gel but a foam applicator just works better as it will give a nice even coverage.
But it's really a personal preference I guess and in my mind, there is no reason why you wouldn't be able to do it.
Whether it is a gel, aerosol, or regular spray, if you apply it to a towel or an foam applicator, it will get it wet and should transfer to the tires.

But really... you have to think about why it will sling.
With any liquid, if it doesn't dry and your tires rotate, it will fly off all over the place. Not to mention, since it is a liquid, it can hide into the space between your tires and rims which you really don't see.
2 reason why it will not dry. Either too much product or not enough time has passed. Think about it, if it is completely dry, what is there for anything to sling? Could it be that the product you are using doesn't dry as fast? Quite possibly and in which case you just need to give it more time to dry. In addition, you want to apply it to a clean tire and the reason is, if you apply to a dirty tire, that **** will interfere with the product soaking into or "bonding" on to the rubber. So in essence, the product is not on the tires but its on all that dirt. As with any liquid, it will loosen up the dirt and when you start driving, all that **** will fly off. I do not mean to offend, but it's really all common sense. It ain't rocket science.

Currently, I use Meg's Hyper Dressing at 1:1 ratio in a spray bottle and this thing is very liquidy... almost the consistency of milk. I will liberally spray the tires (and I use tons.... typically about 10 sprays per tire) and immediately I will wipe off the excess around the rims with a towel especially at the top to reduce the product from sipping into that space between the tires and rims. I then let it dry for about 10 minutes or so and wipe off the excess. I have had no issues with slinging to date.

Hey C8N - You did NOT offend me at all , i appreciate you explaining in such detail , everything you mentioned makes sense ,afterall i think i am in fact using to much product and i take for granted that since my car is brand new that my tires are clean , i know i know , not good logic at all, the irish in me comes out at times LOL

I will definitely be washing my tires before i put anymore tire spray on them because the "sling off " is a pain in the *** my hands are tied , so to speak, right now as it rained all morning and it's getting pretty nice out and i think we are going to have a better afternoon if thats the case i'm going to try it.

Do you have any tips/tricks you can share with me i'm still kind of new to this stuff, although i have been around about 10 years off and on.

Re: I need "the answer" if you have one !

A couple of things here - proper cleaning of the sidewall can and will make a difference in any products ability to soak into the rubber and stay put. Simple physics will dictate that any excess product left on the sidewall is going to come off once that tire's rotational speed reaches a certain point. With all the raised graphics, striping, etc on modern tires it is extremely easy to get excess product in those areas, and even wiping with a towel won't always get it all out. But physics will. Every time.

For what it's worth, I vacillate back and forth between virtually all of our tire dressings, plus testing competing products. While I prefer some over others, I never have a sling issue. But then again, whether trigger spray, aerosol or spray foam, I never ever ever spray the product directly onto the tire. I don't want to have to remove overspray from the wheels or surrounding body panels, and I want to totally control how the product is applied. Regardless of product and even regardless of format (trigger, aerosol, gel) I always apply the product onto a tire brush and then brush it onto the sidewall. This is the brush I like to use (or the same with green bristles):

It's a very commonly found SM Arnold brush and it allows the product to be quickly spread over the tire sidewall, even the lower part of the tire where it makes contact with the ground. Applying any dressing this way prevents excess from building up in the graphics, at the edge of the tire tread blocks (another area where dressings will accumulate, are hard to wipe away, and will ultimately cause sling).

Now, it has to be said that if you're applying any tire dressing because you want a super wet looking, very high shine sidewall........get over it. That's only going to happen with excess product, and you will get sling no matter what product you use to achieve this look.

Brush it on/off to remove excess product and don't drive it right awasy.
