The flood method is extremely helpful when drying off a car that has wax on it. Also, using a quick Detailer or spray wax while drying usually helps the process too and helps avoid water spots, plus if you use a spray wax, it boosts your protection.

Re: Mirror Finish
Know the feeling, same here.
You need some Ult Wash and Wax (also good for quik bird stuff removal) or much less expensive is No Rinse Express Wash (no wax and concentrated large bottle. They also make a large bottle with wash and wax now I believe).2018 Acura RLX Tech - Majestic Black Pearl

Re: Mirror Finish
A DA is a great investment if you're really looking to get the max gloss you can out of any paint. Read through this article for some background on using a DA, but it really is a simple tool to get used to. Some will say it's impossible to damage your paint with a DA but the truth is anything is possible. A better way to put it is that it's highly improbable that you'll damage your paint with a DA. Usually, even if you try to damage the paint you can't.
Ultimate Compound is great stuff and the DA will maximize its effectiveness. Follow that with Ultimate Polish on a foam finishing pad and then finish it all off with Ultimate Wax paste and that green metallic should really be popping.Michael Stoops

Re: Mirror Finish
No. The Ult Wash and Wax you just spray on and wipe off. The Rinse Free Express Wash (sorry called it No rinse before) dilutes it water but no rinsing reqd.
You should wash with normal process like Gold Class Wash shampoo when you can.2018 Acura RLX Tech - Majestic Black Pearl

Re: Mirror Finish
You'll find out you have to mail order some of this stuff. I went nuts just trying to find foam pads with no success locally.
Heck, I had to mail order bags for my home vacuum the other day. It's a sign of the times. You'll never find everything you need in a local store these days.2018 Acura RLX Tech - Majestic Black Pearl

Re: Mirror Finish
*** suggested by Michael S in this forum, I have a a 3.5 Gal bucket with a screw on/off gamma sealed lid and I make a gal or so of RFEW, put some MF folded cloths in there and am ready for a wash at a minutes notice. All you need is some dry MF cloths to wipe off the RFEW.2018 Acura RLX Tech - Majestic Black Pearl
