The trick is to work a small area until you get it to where you want it, then repeat that process. You may find you need more pressure when compounding, etc. You have to get the compounding right first. If you do a large area before your happy, you won't be happy!

Oh, and search the forums regarding how to deal with the decals on the truck too.

I meant clean during use, i.e. don't let pads get soaked with product. You can use terry cloth to absorb product if necessary. There are a lot of threads on this here.

I use tide, no fragrance. You can roll and squeeze em then air dry and/or use washer and dryer. Many threads here on that too.

Take your time. Take a break when you need it. Clean your pads when needed.

My Saab has a garage - and you can still see dust a day after a wash. ... Bad for me, good for Meg's sales.

I use a small one for inside when needed but I don't have a garage and it's risky to use on outside (especially on black), you can drag bad stuff over your paint.

*** suggested by Michael S in this forum, I have a a 3.5 Gal bucket with a screw on/off gamma sealed lid and I make a gal or so of RFEW, put some MF folded cloths in there and am ready for a wash at a minutes notice. All you need is some dry MF cloths to wipe off the RFEW.

You'll find out you have to mail order some of this stuff. I went nuts just trying to find foam pads with no success locally.

Heck, I had to mail order bags for my home vacuum the other day. It's a sign of the times. You'll never find everything you need in a local store these days.
