Is ultimate car wash and wax same as waxing ? or anywhere close to waxing your car since it does have some wax in it?

Yeah, it's more just for a boost to your coat of traditional wax...Originally posted by BluelineI own a silver vehicle and a black vehicle owns me. The black one demands attention, washing, detailing, waxing and an occasional dinner out at a nice restaurant. The silver one demands nothing and it looks just fine. I think the black vehicle is taking advantage of me, and the silver car is more my style. We can go out for a drive without her makeup and she looks fine. If I want to take the black one out, it is three or four hours in the "bathroom" to get ready.

Re: utimate car wash and wax
If you have followed proper detailing from step 1 to 5 per Meguiar's suggestion, then you should have waxed your car during step 4. However, local situation is so different and you may need to wash your car more often. Wax is a protection layer with thickness just as thin as few micrometer. It will get thinner and no longer uniform with time especially door panel, they are vertical. So, by using Ultimate wash and wax, the polymer properties inside actually helps to add maybe nanometer of layer.
all Meguiar's car wash, GC, NXT and this Ultimate W&W, they will not strip away existing wax layer, unlike detergent, everything GONE.

Great explaination!
What i take away from that is to use W&W if i know it will be a long time between waxes.
My followup question is; will there be a difference in the way the car looks or can i just buy W&W and call it a day? Because GC works really well.

Using Gold Class or even Deep Crystal Car Wash and then spraying Ultimate Quik Wax on each panel as you dry it will give you much better, and much longer lasting, protection than UW&W or similar. And, since you obviously have to dry the car anyway, this process doesn't add any time to the process. And UQW is actually an extremely durable spray wax.Michael Stoops
