When using Meguairs Ulitimate Polish with a ROB, do you work the polish in with pressure or should the polish be applied lightly and removed while still wet? If the polish dries, can you use a detailer to help remove? If I polish the car and wait until next week to apply the wax, can I use a california duster to remove the dust, use a detailer to bring back the shine and than apply the wax? Also, when applying a polish or wax by hand, which is better, a terry cloth pad or foam or does it matter? Thanks

I agree with Murr1525. It sounds like you need to compound/polish small areas at a time, say arm's reach only. Ultimate Polish should be easy to remove with an MF towel if you wipe/buff it off quickly (Ultimate Compound is harder to remove, I've found, sometimes requiring detailer, but UP wipes off easily). Only attempt a section of the car you can fully polish and get final wax on per day/session, such as the front clip, or the sides, or whatever. I would NOT polish the whole car and wait a week to wax the whole car! So, think in terms of panels, and also think of compound to correct, polish to shine, and wax to protect

No, it just gets hard to wipe the stuff off if you work too big an area with the machine, especially compounding. Also, if you don't get wax on there soon enough you're just allowing more contaminants to collect on your polish work before you wax, and that was the whole point of washing, claying, compounding and polishing, to have a perfect surface for waxing. If you have the time and shade/garage, you can certainly do the whole vehicle in a day, but if not, you do only what areas you can reasonably polish and get final wax on for the day.
