A friend of mine who I have been detailing with out of his mechanic garage, needs me to remove large amounts of tree sap.....So I will be detailing the exterior of this car while he does the interior. What can I use to quickly and efficiently remove large amounts of tree sap? I have the detailer line body solvent, and can pick up some denatured alcohol or anything really needed....I have to do this Thursday night. I will most likely end up compounding the swirls and scratches out of the paint with #105 or #85 and a wool pad(rotary applied), then #205 or optimums hyper polish on a microfiber pad and da, followed by 21 or opti seal.....Any tips or help would be great Thanks

Re: Tree Sap
Failing that, the Body Solvent should take care of it...Originally posted by BluelineI own a silver vehicle and a black vehicle owns me. The black one demands attention, washing, detailing, waxing and an occasional dinner out at a nice restaurant. The silver one demands nothing and it looks just fine. I think the black vehicle is taking advantage of me, and the silver car is more my style. We can go out for a drive without her makeup and she looks fine. If I want to take the black one out, it is three or four hours in the "bathroom" to get ready.

Re: Tree Sap
I just did a car with the most tree sap collection I have ever seen. The hood, roof and windows all were very covered in sap. To my surprise Turtle Wax Bug and Tar remover pulled this stuff up no issue and is clear coat safe. I don;t usualyl go for their stuff, but this stuff is super cheap, easy to find and effective. I just sprayed it on, let sit briefly worked with a MF towel.
