I have been a member of this forum for a few months now and have been fortunate enough to have attended the detailing 101 class with Mike Phillips. I have learned a tremendous amount from the class and also the people on this forum. I can't thank you all enough.
I have purchased a G-100, also #80 and #83. I have used the #80 on two of my vehicles with great results. Some of my friends have asked me if I would like to detail there cars.
They even want to pay me!!!
I said, sure I would love to. The only cars that I have done are family cars and the paint on their cars have been in good condition and I have been able to tell them with complete confidence that I will make their car look fantastic!!!
Here is the first car that I would like to tackle outside of my family. To me it looks like it's in very bad condition and I am not able to give my friend a confident answer on results. So I told him I would take it to the Meguiar's forum and see what advice I can get from the pro's.
The spots are from sprinklers and he said it has looked like this for about a year. He also wants to keep the pin stripe. It is a tape pin stripe and is very brittle in some areas. I scratched a small part off with my fingernail. I don't think it would stand up to the PCDA and #83. Really need help on this one.
Here are some photos. Let me know what you think. Of course it will start off with the usual, wash and clay. By the way, these photos were taken after he had washed it.

Now for the Swirls!!!

Am I lucky or what?
