I also bought some Ultimate Quickwax for the weekly wash........what product do you recommend in relation to a "glaze"?
Something to apply weekly after the wash...or is Ultimate Quickwax okay?
Glaze or Pure Polish (no cleaners or abrasives) can be Deep Crystal Pure Polish, M07 Show Car Glaze or M05 new car glaze, sort of like Ultimate Polish without cleaners. They work well on dark paints, especially black, they also hide swirls well.
Ultimate Quik wax is good for weekly applications after a car wash. And it also hides swirls quite well, really boosts your exisiting wax coating.
It's a great feeling when people stop and ask what you look after the car with along with the stairs on the road.....yeah yeah, I know...only a car enthusiast would understand!!.....washed and UKW yesterday....went out last night & it rained on the way home.... you know that feeling!!
So,this morning, drove to Autobarn & picked up some Ultimate Quick Detailer & some Scratchx (for the day when/if...more when, it's needed) (yes, I'm a true convert to the product!!)
Tell you what, the UQD is awesome......waterless wash at its best.
UQD is awesome indeed, a bit pricey though... but when you return to your usual "conventional" detailer and then use UQD again, you will see why... It adds depth and a bit of polymer protection. Initially, one might find it nothing special, but as it cures (it has instructions to let the user let it cure 12 hours) the difference in feel and look is noticeable. I find that as I apply it, it has a different rich feel, instead of the typical watery feel of traditional detailers.
True, you can feel the differences......off topic, I have been hunting for one Meguiars sticker to place in the back window of my new ride.......any idea how to get one? Please?
Hmmm....Summer is here.....the cars only 4 months old.....lets test for contaminants.....smooth clean hand test......bit gritty....clay bar time......OMG....What a HUGE difference....smooth as glass now......this product is AMAZING!!
Cannot edit my own posts just yet but thought I would add to the above.
Someone here said that to tell if your car needs claying, once washed, with clean hand, rub over, for example, the bonnet. If it needs claying, you can "hear" your hand going across the paint.
I was dubious at first but apon doing it ...I heard it. Clayed only the bonnet today, polished & waxed it and the rest of the car. Did the hand test on the bonnet.....totally silent!
Since the bar was clean, I thought nothing had been achieved...WRONG!
Next week.....the remainder gets clayed......as EVERY other panel is noisy!
Clayed the rest of the car.......and polished....and waxed......what a joy to run your hand over it.......after 3 hours of loving work.......and feel the glass soundless perfection.......I am a happy man Meguiars
Deep crystal wet look or polish? I don't remember any particular deep crystal line with that name.. Maybe deep crystal coating which is available only in ASEAN region..
