Hey Murr,

I Ultimate Polished and still have the light scratches so I tried ColorX and still have them I used both with a yellow foam pad. The Ult Compound left a heavy haze cause of the soft paint, any ideas.

If your using the Meguiars DA, I recommend not going in stronger then the yellow pad. You will see a huge improvement with the Ult Polish.. Then follow up with the Ult Wax to lock in the polishing oils.

You don't want to let ult polish or ult compound set.. once done polishing remove it with a high quality Microfiber towel.

Yeah, by hand ColorX is going to be mild as well.

I am not sure if we clarified that the first time you used UC, was with the yellow foam pad?

If UC applied with some passion is too strong, and UP applied with some passion is too mild... UC applied mild would be inbetween.

You may want to try re-doing Ultimate Compound with the proper technique, meaning working it in and removing while wet. You work it in until it becomes clear then remove the product. It is a possibility that even by just changing techniques it can make a dramatic difference.

Other options maybe is to switch to s milder cleaner. Maybe SwirlX with a yellow pad, and just like other megs cleaners it should be removed while wet. you can follow it up with either Ultimate Polish or ColorX to refine the paint.

Yeah the first time I applied the compound was by hand with a yellow pad. I may wait and order the DA polisher this week.
