    Re: Paint protection?

I use UQD for spot cleaning of my car, like bird droppings, road tar, etc. My car is silver so finger prints will not show. I also use a California Duster to remove dust.
I use UQW after a wash and if I don't wax.

In fact, I always have my California Duster, UQW, UQD, a few MF and a bottle of water (just tap water) in my trunk, excpet in winter months.

[QUOTE=Michael Stoops;502753]If you're using a full synthetic like NXT 2.0 or Ultimate Wax then ideally you should wait 12 hours between applications. It is not absolutely necessary, but if you can manage it you should.

What if I have to use the car after I wax or the next day, could I apply the 2nd layer of wax later?
I'll just have to wash off the car again before that application.

Should be ok, a good quality car wash shouldn't affect the integrity of the 1st coat of wax you applied. If it's lightly dusted even after use, you may be able to get away with dusting/quick detailing. As long as it is applied after the 12 hour cure time, you should be safe even if 2nd wax layer is applied later than the 12 hour recommended cure time.

Or a quick QD the next day.
