  • What To Use On An ATV?

I was wandering if I should use wax or interior detailer on the outside of the fender wells of my ATV to protect and to make it easier to clean.

    Thanks.

Something like the Ult. Spray Wax may be easiest.

I have all ways waxed the outside of the fender wells, and have sprayed the inside with wd40, wiped off the excess, and allowed to dry. I have found that it allows mud and dirt to have a harder time sticking underneath. I also will sometime spray the bottom of the gram as well. On a side note linking the insider of my snowblower with wd40 allows the snow to slide in through the auger and out the chute very easily. I get less clogs this way as well. (I have an all metal snowblower though, and would not recommend spraying wd40 on plastic. I do this on the tab when I know I'm going in the mud and will be washing it anyway)

What about PlastX? I know it says to use on clear plastic, would it work on any plastic?

No, PlastX wouldnt be great for colored plastics, and wouldnt really help the mud wash off easier either.

I've always had real good luck coating the entire bike with wd40 and wiping off the excess. The mud comes right off with a hose and the plastics shine right up. Has always worked very well for me
