Another good question. Layer products over NXT if you feel the product gives a better appearance. NXT should be the base and build off of that. The reason being NXT contains slight cleaners and will remove some of the previous products applied to paint.

This will raise the question why polish before NXT. From my experience NXT will remove some polish and residue but not remove enough to subtract the look achieved with the polish.

My AIO is going to be used up soon, thus would like to switch to meguiar product which has similar characteristics as AIO

I am torn between A12, #6, #80 and colorX.
Which is the closest to AIO?

I understand that colorx is a mild abrasive kinda cleaner+wax compare to AIO. Would frequent usage removes paint coat.

I'm sort of looking for a subsitute product to replace AIO n finding a base for SG to be applied upon.

Thus, would colorx still a viable option?

Yes ColorX has mild diminishing abrasives and chemical cleaning properties. Check out this link to see... How much paint are you removing.
As you can see if #83 on the PC set at speed 6 doesn't show a change in paint thickness, you'll be pretty safe using ColorX. Of course there are several variables but for the most part you should be safe.

I still feel the best base for SG would be AIO.
Why are you looking to replace AIO? If you need swirl removal then yes AIO won't help. A dedicated swirl remover like #80 would be needed. Then apply AIO and top with SG.

AIO and SG not easily available in my country and they are more costlier, thus thinking of switching over to meguiars.

I'm looking at #9 too, but think that's hard to find here as well.

By hand application, colorx would be a better option compare to #80?

Final question, what's ther difference between#6 and colorX?
Notice that #6 also a one step application which include cleaning, polish and protect.
