  • Had a problem with #7 Glaze today..??

Every fall I clean up my Harley with compound, polish and wax. The bike was in a heated garage all day at about 60*-70*. The surface was room temperature to the touch but no direct heat being applied to the bike. Same conditions as usual. After using UC, I was going to apply #7 as I have many, mnay times in the past. As I applied the polish, by hand, almost immediately it started to dry and kind of clump together on the surface and I could not spread it out. See attached photos. The photo I took after the polish was only on for about 10 seconds. I had a miserable time trying to wipe it off as you can imagine. The bottle of #7 was new this summer and I have used it on my car with no similar issues. After I got the #7 cleaned up I applied NXT with no issues. Any thoughts on what happened???

either you paint was really dry, you were working to big of an area, or there was some other chemical on your paint that reacted with the #7 ..... those are might though at least

Four year old bike that has had excellent care so I don't think paint is an issue. I only worked about one sq. ft. or less at a time. Like I said it dried instantly and I couldn't spread it evenly as shown in the photo. Got me.

        Jon,

M07 is temperature and humidity sensitive. It becomes gummy in that environment and you can't get even 15-second buffing cycle out of it. To wipe it off is another big headache.

M05 New Car Glaze works without problem in higher temperatures and humidity levels.
