Re: stained rims after using Hot Rims All Wheel cleaner
dinosaur1, going 'green' does not necessarily mean 'safe to leave as long as you want without staining wheels'. 'Green' means environmentally friendly, and while most green products are very safe to handle they can still cause issues when used improperly. A case in point: I mostly use 'green' wheel cleaners mainly for my health as I use them all day, every day. One is made by Michelin (the tyre company) and a couple others are citrus oil based. You can get them on your hand without much issue. But if you leave to dwell on the wheel too long they too can stain the surface. The only 'safe' wheel cleaner is a strong carwash solution, but that only works on not very dirty wheels.
Bottom line, 'green' or not, always follow the instructions and if you don't and get issues (and you will), don't blame the manufacturer.
