Just watched a video demonstration of ArmorAll Wheel Protectant. The product works amazing well to repel mud, water, etc.
Anyone has expereince with this product?

Not sure if I am allowed to post the URL of the video.

I've heard of people using Cleaner Wax on the wheels since it's a cheap and effective product, but I'm yet to try it myself.

I use Ultimate Quick Wax on the wheels after I've done them. Keeps them looking shiny and brake dust doesn't seem to accumulate on them as bad.

        Re: Wheel Protectant

I wax my wheels regularly when I wax my car. Truth is this is the part of waxing that I hate.

Google this Armor All product and watch the video .

The mud test video is pretty impressive.

...But I think UQW would do the same thing.

We can go out for a drive without her makeup and she looks fine. If I want to take the black one out, it is three or four hours in the "bathroom" to get ready.

The ArmorAll wheel/tire products are excellent. The protectant works as shown in the video and seems to last forever, and if you like a nice natural matte finish to your tires, rather than a fake glossy shine, their tire foam is super. It is too bad their waxes are disappointing.

This is what I do to shine up and protect my wheels.

Personally, I'm a big fan of Quik Wheel Detailer. It performs like the video and is a breeze to use.

In the video, they used water and mud/water to demontrate how they slide off the wheels without trace. Not sure how this works with brake dust.

I use Meguaires waxes for my wheels and the brake dust does wipe off easy. This product is GOLD if no wiping is requred !!!

They also use honey, and that stuff sticks to anything....except the protectant. My car is not a Mercedes, (known for brake dust) and my pads are ceramic, so I didn't have much of a problem with brake dust to start with, but now I have ZERO brake dust.

                      Re: Wheel Protectant

I drive a MB, this is why I need a good wheel protectant which can expel brake dust (if this product even exists).

I use M26 on wheels and follow up with Ultimate Quik Detailer.....

If you use a wheel cleaner it strips the wax. Try your regular car wash soap to clean inbetween waxing. If you don't need a wheel cleaner, then don't use it, save product and money.

Well give it a whirl and see if it works for you. If not, then try some of the other suggestions in this thread. As mentioned I do not drive a MB and therefore do not know the extent of the brake dust problem....it may be the answer and it may not.

I used it once on my rims... didn't see any much difference with using Ultimate Quick Wax or M135 like I usualy do.

I have #26 as well but never used it for wheels. I'm concerned that that the carnaba portion of the wax cannot withstand the heat.
