I've worked on about 4 pairs of headlights now using the Meguiar's headlight and spot repair kit. I went through all the sanding steps; using an interface, the sanding discs provided, and the mini air DA sander. After I finished the second car I noticed I had pigtails in the lens cover, this has continued to happen with every car I've worked on since. I've tried different ways to try to correct the problem; by trying to use different levels of sanding discs and by making sure I wiped the lens down thoroughly every time. When I tried to sand out the pig tails with the lighter grit it has helped a little but it doesn't completely take them out and well, good enough isn't good enough for me. I'm curious if anyone has any thoughts on why this started happening and if there are any tips I can try to keep this from happening again. Any thoughts and suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Jason
