Are the metal tins preferable to the plastic jars, and if so, why?

For me, it's easier to apply wax to the foam pad with the metal can, but the plastic lids just screw on and off, no need for a coin like the metal ones.

My experience with the plastic jar is that it is much taller than the tin cans, making it slightly difficult to get the wax onto the applicator. This is not a total inconvenience for me, but ergonomics can be a big factor for some users.

The switch to a metal can is a wise decision on behalf of Meguair's. As a loyal #16 user, I find that metal cans are much easier to work with, plus they offer that "old school" feel.
