Alright, update.. Did some trial and error to see how many passes what product etc. I had to go about getting my swirls out so I did the roof and trunk/spoiler so far with UC. I noticed plastic/polyurethane panels and parts take more passes than the rest of the car. Do you all find that true aswell? Needless to say I am very happy and enjoying it so far I say on each panel I got 85-90 percent of swirls and scratches out. I cant wait to finish the whole car.
***Question****
I was reading the Ultimate Polish bottle and it said I needed to use4-6 passes with it. is that meaning slow passes like with UC or quicker passes like wax spreading or something? Because it took me hours to do just three different areas of my vehicle then having to multiply that time by 2 doing UP seems like way much.. Not including Wax nor the rest of my detail.
Well, plastic parts are often bumpers, etc. And bumpers can be a different paint.
I am not sure what the bottles terminology is....
If everything was 'perfect'... you would pick a 1.5 foot or so square, and go up down up, then left right left. So 3 each direction, moving slow. And that would be one application.
That goes for any product, even wax isnt 'fast'.. a little less care, as just spreading wax. The thing with wax is that once the pad is saturated, you can keep using it, and move on to new areas without always reloading the pad, so kind of becomes quicker.

Gosh, I'll have to look a my bottle, I don't remember it saying 4-6 passes. However my memory fades more each day. You must remember the bottle needs to speak in general terms for a pretty broad audience. Your case will be unique.
For me, UltPolish is a dual purpose product. Yellow pad, moderate to heavy pressure, slow arm speed and fast PC speed it will assist in the removal of hazing created by other more aggressive products, such as UC.
Again for me, black pad, light pressure, moderate arm speed and PC speed, UltPolish does it's polishing work and creates a smooth, shiny surface in preparation for wax.
The black pad work will proceed fairly quickly as what you are doing is a refinement of your previous work and by now your previous work should be providing you a consistent surface. Your yellow pad work is slower more intensive. Like those accursed bumpers that seem to take forever to correct!!!
Waxing will be the fastest thing in the whole process. Murr is right saturate the pad and go and go and go. A mere few oz. covers a whole car. Search for a Mr. Stoops discussion and demonstration of this.
So correction is slow often tedious, polishing is kinda fast, and waxing is wonderful since you get a slight break after applying!
