Just recently purchased Meg Glass Cleaner and tried it for the first time. I can't say I was all that impressed as I have been with all the other Meg products. I still find "Windex" to be a superior product to use. Does anyone else out there find the same? Thanks for your opinions.

Re: Meguiars Glass cleaner vs Windex
I found Windex to streak, so now I just use a water damp microfiber followed up with a dry microfiber. Works great for slightly dirty windows. If you are dealing with heavily soiled windows, dirt and tobacco, you might need a chemical gleaner. Otherwise, water is as good as anything.

Which Meg's cleaner did you use and what material?
I use and love their Detailer line glass cleaner and it never streaks for me. I spritz on a microfiber towel and wipe the glass and use a clean dry MF to wipe dry.Jim

Re: Meguiars Glass cleaner vs Windex
My experience over many years with glass cleaners has left Windex products in the bottom of the list. About a year ago I tried Meg's Glass cleaner and found it better. Then, I tried D120 Glass cleaner in the 1:10 dilution rate and for me it is the BEST glass cleaner around. In fact, I manage an RV store in the winter months and have been selling D120 bottled in Megs spray bottles and have sold 120 bottles in just a few months! Every customer has raved about it and recommemded it to their friends.Barry

Re: Meguiars Glass cleaner vs Windex
Windex contains detergents and ammonia which will strip away your cars LSP if there is any over spray.
Another good point is that windex is not safe on tinted windows. The ammonia will peal your vehicles window tint right off.

Re: Meguiars Glass cleaner vs Windex
I work with glass on a daily basis and would not recommend any windex product - I use products from CR Laurence and have found these to be the best, however I certainly wouldn't spray them directly onto the cars glass as I am unsure of the chemicals used and would not like to risk any overspray getting onto the paint. It may be worth a look for you though.

Re: Meguiars Glass cleaner vs Windex
This is from the product web site. I think the main thing is to find a product that does not have ammonia since that will do more harm then good on your paints finish and window tint.

D120 is the BEST glass cleaner you will ever use...auto, home, whereever....just try it one time and you will be hooked!...it's also the most cost effective product out there...Meguiars online price is $18.49 for a gallon which you dilute 10:1...that's 11 gallons or 50 quarts ! ! ! !...that's $1.68 A GALLON !! ! ....but the amazing part is, it really is the best out there for glass...period..Bill Poirier
