Re: Protect new paint from salty/oily roads

Today it was +8 Celcius and i finally could wash my baby

Used a new local degreaser and let it be on for 10 minutes and then used high preasure water (bought today) and 99% of all the dirt came right off....Awesome

    Happy man

Just be careful of allowing a degreaser to sit for 10 minutes on the paint. It could spot it if you're not careful.

Did you apply some wax afterwards? *Please say yes, Please say yes.....

Yes i used wax...well some sort of
Again some wonderstuff from a local chemistry factory producing its own wax shampoo. I doubled the amount so it should be quite alot of some temporarily wax.
Im going to wait for a warmer spring day to make a whole day out of polishing and waxing with machine and pads....Damn im looking forward to that

          Hi gjeewaytee!

I use Prickbort on all customer cars, as well as my own cars. It is a great product.

"Degreaser" is a word for a lot of different products. -This exact product is not a harsh product, but designed to be a part of a well maintained paint finish. -We like that, right?
It is not compareable to for exampe "body solvent" or "safe degreaser"

I have used this product the past 4 years exclusively, and I only use Meguiars products elsewere in the process.
Sealant type and general synthetic waxes, like NXT, can withstand this product rather well, on my own car i generally put sealant on in october, well before the winter sets in.
When springtime comes, it still looks great, beads and protects like a charm after 5-6 Prickbort treatments. It is very mild on your wax. But do not use it before it is needed, since it does affect your top layer somewhat.
On carnauba waxes, though, it eats of the protection rather fast. -but then again, in summer you do not need it that often.
