Quick question: Can everybody scroll down the FIRST page with no problem ? Or do you have some kind of trouble ?

Having trouble myself but some people can see it fine.

    Thanks.

Does #80 contain as much polishing oils as Ultimate Polish ?

And if applied just after UC the results would be comparable to UP?

      Too many options
#80 probably has more oils, because SS paint can use more oil.

I dont know how the final looks would compare, probably not super different. If there was some marring from the UC left, they would probably be close in ability to remove it. (I would be thinking about SwirlX maybe if marring needed removed)

Well, wont know till you try. Lots of options and variables. But that is the best way to start.

Ok, but in theory after using UC and Swirls X, I still would "need" to use a polish right ?

Yeah, I feel much safer to use UC now that everybody got scared with my swirls, and I was thinking they were minor...

Re: Is this a case for the 2011 Paint Restoration Kit?

'Needing' a polish is a bit tricky.

Even a clear coat paint can still use some oils, esp as it gets older. But a cleaner/wax, cleaner/polish (SwirlX, UP), polish wax (Nxt 2.0, Gold Class +, maybe UW) will have some oils in them.

So to be honest, if the UC finishes out great, and you want to move on to wax, go for it.

Then in a few weeks, couple months, when you just use UPolish and wax, you will be fine.

Thanks Murr, it makes a lot of sense. If UC finishes out with no marring for the first time, I can go straight to wax, especially after all the elbow grease...

And besides that, which other products do you guys think I should buy ?
I'm considering buying the 2011 Paint Restoration Kit, Ultimate Polish, UQD and some extra MF towels. For the tires I'm between Endurance and Hot shine. Any comments?
                I'm I missing something else?

                Thanks!

Re: Is this a case for the 2011 Paint Restoration Kit?

I would consider some more Quick Detailer, and Ultimate Quick Wax. The UQD could be optional then if price was an issue.

Some more of the foam applicators never hurts.

                  I haven't used those 2 dressings.

Of course soap, glass cleaner, interior products, etc are all possibilities.

Uhnn, now that you mentioned it, what exactly is the difference between Quick Detailer and Ultimate Quick Detailer ?

UQD leaves a coating behind, so you dont want it for claying.

So if you are going to have the UQW for after washing, and the QD can remove bird droppings, etc, and clay, the UQD would be optional. Nice to have, but not needed immediately.

That's very important information! You don't wan't to use UQD for claying!

                            I didn't know that...

                            Thanks!
