    I agree with Murr.

I guess you are now hooked?.

Look forward to seeing your pics. Can I ask what process did you follow to correct the paint?

As long as you keep it thin, removing should still be easy in the morning (assuming the surface is clean also, like left indoors. Could end up with too much **** if left outside.). But you would not want to leave wax on any trim that long. (unless it is Ultimate Wax I guess).

    Note the 'should'....

On the other hand, depending on the progress you are making, how many panels done, etc, you may want to wax everything at the end all at once if there is still plenty to do.

Quick question. I didn't get the change to put on the second layer of wax. Can I put it on tonight and wipe it off in the morning?

If you're getting hazing from Ultimate Compound but better defect correction overall, then go with it but follow with Ultimate Polish on a finishing pad, but work the UP much longer than you did the UC. It will stay wet and give you a long buffing cycle, and you can really refine the finish with it, bringing up max gloss and clarity. Finish with Ultimate Wax and you're good to go.

Overall though, it looks like you're getting outstanding results here. The overall improvement in the finish of your car is going to be incredible when you're done and we're confident you're going to be really happy you did all this. Great work, keep it up!!
As usual Mr Stoops with some great advise.

    Great results

Its all down to personal choice. What level is acceptable to you. How much do you want to refine the finish?

I have as mentioned earlier a black pearl. And really hard paint. I have found for me.

Ultimate compound on meg yellow pad.
Followed by swirl x on a meg yellow pad.
Followed by swirl x on a meg black pad.
Followed by dc01 on a meg black pad.
Followed by Dc02 on a meg black pad.
Followed by nxt tech wax 2.0

But I'm a bit ocd with my own car and god it shows .

My last detail was 40 hrs

Some results! I need opinions here!

    Before

    After SwirlX

    After UC

    After UP and UW

What do you think guys? Should I just use the UC then UP and UW?

Remember that line from Jurassic Park - You were so worried about whether or not you could you didn't bother to think whether or not you should (or something to that effect). Yeah, don't.

Probably, but I'm not sure of the diameters of the different plates.

Worth a try, now that you also have a local source for a real backing plate in case you screw up.

    To anticipate your next question....

    Hobby Lobby Creative Center
    11280 W Broad St, Richmond, VA 23233
    (804) 364-2190

    for velcro

take your buffing pad with you to get the right facing on the velcro.

Murr's going to have to take over for awhile...I gotta go to work...
