Re: how to Wash meg pads?
My understanding is yes they can. But you need to be careful on how you dry them. I also have read on places like Autogeek people cleaning them on the fly and using the D/A or rotary to spin it clean right there.
There are also dedicated pad washers. I beleive Meg has a new one listed in the 2011 New Products forum.
To be honest I have read about 10 different ways to do the same thing, so expect may opinions.

Re: how to Wash meg pads?
So buying a specialized "pad cleaner" product isn't necessary? I've been using - http://autogeek.net/snappytool.html - in a bucket and cleaning my pads by hand. Just as safe to throw them in the wash?
Would you put these separate from your microfiber towels?
Also got a similar question about Microfiber - I'm currently using specialized microfiber detergent in the wash. Just using a dye and fragrance free detergent will be fine?

As for the detergent, yeah just about any detergent will work. I actually use the High Efficiency version of Woolite (in a non-HE washing machine) and it does fine for my pads and my MF towels.
