I am trying to see if anyone can refer a product, I need to condition the the fiberglass top on a 93 Bronco we have. We used plastX but would like to see if Meguiars has something that has worked for someone on a textured surface.

Re: Bronco Fiberglass Top
They are made of fiberglass, but they have a weird, textured coating on them. It's sort of like textured walls in a house. Smooth, with some bumps all over. If you put dressing on, it'll run right off. You can't really treat it like regular paint either, IME, because it isn't...I think.

Around that time there were quit a few tops that were ABS. They were tougher (you could beat on them tough) than FG but a bear to clean. In some cases it involved removing the top and working on it with a scrub brush and cleaner with LOTs of water. As for a dressing for ABS, ain't got any idea.
Good luck, keep us posted.

Re: Bronco Fiberglass Top
I did try some of the marine line and if I recall #80 and #9. It's like Tyler said. It's not a smooth surface, it's like a texture spray. So any of the abrasive products I used started to smooth it out, reducing the texture. The oils in #7 were the only thing I've found that brings back the color without removing the texture. Same thing with Jeep and Blazer fiber glass hard tops.Life isn't about 'weathering the storm', it's about learning to dance in the rain.
