I had a piece of cardboard for awhile for my truck. It lasted until it got crushed in half, lol. You could just cover it with inexpensive packing or duct tape or something if you wish.

Next time you buy a take and bake pizza, save the round cardboard base
Often I will just hold a rag in one hand to catch over-spray.

You could also use a gel product and an applicator pad. This is my preference. I find it easier to apply an even coat and control the product.

I would rather a little spray on my rotors than cooked pizza leftovers on my chrome wheels.

You're not supposed put the cardboard is the oven silly. It might catch on fire and it ruins the crust

The one I made is at least 8 years old. I cut it out of the side of a box that some metal shelving came in. The hand hold slots are 1.25" by 4" and about 1.5" apart from one another set up like an equal sign. I covered the cardboard with duct tape - when it gets messy I just replace a layer of duct tape on that area.

I guess it is due to some of the tire spray getting onto the brake discs.

3-4 applications of the brake pedal from 45+ mph and that stuff will be history.
