It is true, however, that as a group synthetic sealants will last longer (and generally protect a bit better) than carnauba products. The two can also look a little different from one another (or a lot different, depending on which two you're comparing). That's the part that comes down to personal choice. What looks good to you may not look as good to someone else. You're both right, you just have different tastes.

We strive for obtaining max gloss with NXT Gen Tech Wax 2.0 (which is technically a synthetic sealant) so we'll debate some of the above. However, as stated above, if your eyes prefer the look of a carnauba over a synthetic then so be it. There is no way we can tell someone that their subjective evaluation is wrong. Hey, you like what you like! It is very true, though, that NXT is our best protecting and longest lasting wax/sealant/paint protectant.
No offense intended, Michael. That's why I prefaced my post with IMHO. What my eyes see on my cars is likely different from others' views.
I've been on the hunt for years for LSP which adds to the superb gloss I get from old reliable M07, without streaks or smears on my delicate single stage burgundy lacquer. After trying all the products pictured below, plus many "boutique" waxes I borrowed from friends, plus a bunch of unlabeled samples from wholesale detail suppliers, I chose NXT as my "go to" product. Finally, after joining this forum and reading an endless amount of past and current posts, I found the level of gloss I had been seeking, by topping NXT with M26. I only wish I would have found this place sooner, as the great advice to be found here would have saved me a bunch of money and effort.

PS to Executionerhk: Use my pictures with your wife for your benefit.
You were thoughtful enough of her wishes to do serious research in order to make the most of your detailing supply expense. Other wackos like me just went out and spent money based on someone's recommendations and weren't satisfied. Here's another shot of some of the polishes and glazes on my shelves.

how can i explain to her and make her understand?
Use makeup, nail polishing or hair care as an example. She may apply a concealer product, then a foundation, and then a powder just to get the base on her face before moving on to eyes, etc. She may use a shampoo, then conditioner, then detangler, then leave in oil or conditioner, then styling gel or hairspray when doing her hair.

All good analogies for the work that goes into auto detailing. In fact, say "you use all of these products and your perfect to start with. Imagine what it takes to make a car look good."

I will put on a fight with my wife later.
When I finished my UC and SwirlX...
We have 4 cars to clean, and they all needed to be polished...
they will be gone in no time LOL!!

then it is time to get M105 and M205....
or by that time Mr. Stoops has saved my life by selling Meguiar's product by Meguiar's USA...

hey then maybe I can get a job!!

use finishing pad. apply, then remove.
wait 12+ hour and then clean with qick Detailer to remove dust.
then repeat with NXT 2.0 with the same process.
then gold class and it should shine like a champ.

If you're going to top NXT with GC, you could prolly get away with just one application of the NXT followed up with (after ample curing time) the GC, unless you want to make a career out of it.

However, the second application of NXT will go super fast and give serious protection and longevity. If only doing two applications, I would go back with the NXT and not the GC. The GC will give it a good look on top of the double NXT though. So if you do have the time, go ahead with the second NXT and the GC topper.

                Re: wax question

gold class and nxt tech 2.0 are very similar except nxt 2.0 has a light cleaner in it, i would go 1 coat of nxt 2.0 with 2 coats of gold class with an hour dry time between wiping off and applying a 2nd coat

                    Re: wax question

whats the correct dry time for NXT 2.0? Some are saying 12 hours and others are saying 1 to 2. Whats correct?

(also how much better will the new GC w/nuba look on top of the NXT 2.0 vrs the old GC?)

I usually try to give it 8+ to cure before topping with another coat or product. However I have done it after a few hours and felt ok about the result. I think it depends on temp to some extent.

                        Re: wax question

i have my nxt2.0 on top of tw ice paste polish, and it look awesome

maybe if i bought gold class carnauba plus and applied it before nxt 2.0 it will be a lot better than the tw ice, but i must wait till my tw ice is finish then i 'll buy the GGCP

nxt 2.0 is so reflective and GGCP nor turtle ice cannot compare it's reflectiveness, but in the other hand turtle ice and GGCP can make color more darker

but today i just know that nxt 2.0 has some cleaner in it, so maybe it can remove the wax applied before
