I have the same feeling when I first tried UP on my 4Runner door plastic trim around the window; the UP doesn't seem to "stick on" really well. When the UP dried, it seems that there wasn't any difference before and after of UP. Only the bumper part plastic show some difference of before and after of UP application. Very strange.

It's hit or miss, but that can happen with any product. I wonder how Black WOW would respond to the plastics we've tried.

To compare BlackWOW to UP on that smoother plastic trim...

My Neon has smoother plastic side mirrors. Might as well just call 'em smooth. BlackWOW went right onto the trim and lasted about 2 months, 24/7 outside in California summer weather. No prep cleaning done.

I scrubbed all of the plastic trim with APC+ and a brush and then washed the car and then wiped the trim with IPA and a towel because UP just wasn't lasting when I was trying it. Unfortunately, same results. Perhaps it is because of the type of trim (smooth) mentioned above.

BlackWOW delivers every time for me on all of my trim on all of my cars. UP is pretty much the only Meguiar's product I haven't been really satisfied with. I know that's for somewhere else, but just saying. I know others have had great results with it, but not me.

Thanks for that. It came down to UP or BlackWOW in my order, and there was a $20 so UP won. Shame it doesn't work well with smooth plastics.
