I have both the foam cannon and foam gun and find myself using the foam gun more often. It's nice to be able to use it as a pre-soak and use it while you wash as you can directly spray wash solution and go over it with your wash media right behind it.

I use either Megs Hyperwash

Great. I normally hear people taking about Gold Class Shampoo or Shampoo Plus, but Hyperwash is rarely mentioned. At a normal mix ratio of 400:1 I can see how Hyperwash would go a long way.

Have you compared how well Hyperwash works in a canon/gun compared to the other Megs car wash products?

Why can't you just wash a single panel at a time?

What the gun is for is to pre-soak the car in soap...be it the entire car or a single panel, so that drit/grit can run off and the panel be lubricated before you touch it.

The point of the gun isn't to replace typical 2-bucket washing.

I guess I simply liked my tried and true method better. My car never really gets much, if any, grit on it...just dust..so having a pre-soak is probably not necessary. Don' get me wrong, the foam gun probably has its use for some...for me is was just a novelty and an extra process I did not care to perform. Each to their own.

I bought a foam canon from silvSS03 and I got it today! I couldn't wait any longer to try it! So I washed my car even tho the forecast doesn't look good for tomorow ahah!




In the pictures, the soap doesn't seem to ''stick'' to the car but it did!

I did in the beginning. Hyperwash dwelled better on the car than both GC and Shampoo+. Nowadays, I mix all 3 together just for fun. I have about 5 gallons of soap that I've collected over the past year so I do it without worrying about running out of soap now
