Does anyone know if you can use the 4" maroon, yellow, or black pads with chrome polish or metal polish to polish a bumper or a wheel, on either the DA or the rotary? If so, which color one would you use?

Part of the reason is that the foam wears out, the other reason is that the foam will absorb the metal. I have polished magnesium, and the orange pad turned pitch black.
I doubt you'd want to use that pad on paint ever again. Once used on metal, you'll prolly want to keep the pad a "metal only" pad.
