Even though you are working on a brand new vehicle off the lot, there may be contaminents on the surface. Your truck was delivered to the dealership by truck, was even most likely been on a rail car of some sort, and sat on the lot for some time I'm sure. In my opinion, it would be worth it to clay or at least use a paint cleaner and then try the NXT again. Just want you to cover your bases.

Yes... but I did inspect the surface, feel it, ect... It didnt need a clay... really!

Not doubting you at all. However you would be surprised at the amount of contaminants that have been removed on a vehicle when it feels as smooth as glass. It is always standard with me in claying a brand new vehicle.

What is the worst that could happen? You spent 20-25 minutes on a step that was not necessary? At least this part of the puzzle would be solved to find your solution. Just typing out loud.

I would lean towards putting the wax on too thick as the cause. NXT likes to be applied in whisper thin coats...so thin you should somewhat have to strain or changes angles to see it in some light sources. This enables the wax to fully cure from top to bottom.

You would be surprised how common it is for people to apply four and five times too much wax - don't feel bad if you did too - we all did at one point!

Any chance you could post pictures of the wax in the curing process to give an idea of how thick you applied it?
