Re: How to get wax off plastics?
I always use Meguiar's #39 Heavy Duty Vinyl Cleaner for removing wax from plastic. It works great!

For removing wax 39 is the best product to use.
It may take a number of applications to get the wax off.
If the wax has been on for a long time or baked by the sun or engine heat it may be very difficult to remove.
A very soft bristled brush similar to an old toothbrush can help break up the wax.
Of course you will what to work on a cool surface so the 39 has a chance to work.
