Re: whats on my window and how to remove it??

gotcha, if i would have and the car from the beginning i never would have let that happen, i bought the car from my boss cause he wasnt driving it anymore and for 2006 nissan it only had 19000 miles on it, the spots are on my door windows and side rear view mirrors as well, i cant believe after only 3 years the windows are that bad.

I have similar problem with mine, I have the original windscreen on my car 27 years old with the built in antenna. I'm kinda of skeptical on replacing because it seems the replacement windows ****.

I like the term "sand sparkle." When the sun hits my S2K windshield in just the right way, the entire windshield lights up like a Christmas tree. I only have, say, 25,000 miles on my car. It's surprising that the windshield has taken such a beating. Just goes to show how necessary they are--better the windshield than my face!

My car windscreen has also been sand blasted and is in really bad condition. Some of the chips are pretty big. You can actually see pieces of the glass missing. Was thinking of bricking it and getting it replaced by insurance. Will have to pay in the excess but it will be worth it!

Some windshields are made better than others, too. I've seen windshields with very low mileage, like yours Al, with terrible pitting. I've also seen some with very high mileage with virtually no pitting. Just like anything, quality matters.

Pitting on the side and rear windows too though? That sounds a little weird for a car with only 19k miles...
