Is there any way to restore the black trim on the right side? Trim is plastic and it's been there probably for nearly a year now but never had the urge to fix it until i found this site

The Gold Class Trim Detailer, or All Season Dressing would probably do best. (Although there may be a new trim product coming out....)

I agree with the All Season Dressing. Very good product. It last a long while. Never tried the Gpld Class Trim Detailer.

Thanks for the feedback. Definitely will go into my next purchase list, although getting their professional line is impossible here.

Meguiar's will be releasing anew trim detailer. It will be announced next week. You might want to wait for this new product to hit the stores.

Because it seems to be smooth I'd try some cleaner wax....... try it and let us know.

Since it's smooth, personally I'd try Ultimate Compound. Check this out. This was from my uncle's Explorer, and I used UC to fix it.

              Before

              After

              Applicator pad

What you're seeing is pretty much "oxidized plastic". You need to remove that oxidation in order for it to stay shiny; covering it with a dressing is more or less a temporary fix. But, keep in mind that not every type of plastic will take to the same "fix"; but since your plastic is smooth, I would go ahead and try Ultimate Compound.

Year is 2006, Asia Pacific model (RB2). A bit smaller than the American version.
