Re: Where to store products in the winter?

I've always left my stuff in the garage. It doesn't get too cold in there as long as the outside doors are kept shut. I've never had a problem with any of my products going bad during the winter. I guess I could move everything inside if I really wanted to, but what a PITA that would be!

HAHA, I was thinking about that too, I think I'm actually going to do that. Being a student though it might end up making my room a catastrophic mess.
( but then again, imagine how much fun I can have reading the labels on those products )

I guess it all depends on how many times you use your products in the winter. If you don't use them at all it'll only take maybe a couple of trips to move all the products inside for a good few months. ( but if you plan on detailing in the winter then it will definitely be a PITA )

James, to be honest, I am surprised that you're asking where to store products during the winter, while we are essentially still in the summer, with our A/C blasting at 20c! I hope to completely use up my UC and SwirlX before Decemeber, to make room for 2010 new products! This way, less product to store during the Winter.

By the way, if you do end up storing your stuff in your room, do not mistake ScratchX 2.0 with your AXE shower gel

HAHA can't believe I didn't notice that before. It would be pretty comical if I showered with scratchX. Might even make my skin silky smooth

2010 products?! That sounds great but will we British Columbians be able to get our hands on that ? Crappy tire and LousyCo only provides a few meg products..

Re: Where to store products in the winter?

I keep mine under the quilt of the bed in the room in my basement. This serves two purposes...my wife doesn't know how many Meguiars products I have and it also keeps my mother-in-law out of there.

I had some liqiud cleaners in the basement last year and one of them got ruined. I think this time I'll make sure there either used up before winter arrives. If not I'll just have to move them upstairs. Ofcourse the woman might have a problem with that. She says I have to much Meguiars products. I tell you can never have enough Meguiar's products.

My stuff stays inside year round.

It is. Unfortunately, I don't have a garage to store anything in.

I have my "most used" stuff in caddies, and that makes it easier to grab & go.

                  How?

Ok guys, riddle me this. When Meguiars products are in a semi-trailer heading for Wisconsin in February, what keeps them from freezing? Those trailers are not heated, and they might spend 4-5 days roaming around the frozen tundra until they are unloaded.
Or what if I do an ADS order and it sits on my front porch while I'm at work after UPS drops them off?

I keep mine in my un-heated garage year round.... well then again I don't have to worry about winter

I once put swirls in my paint just to see what it looked like.

                    I don't always detail cars, but when I do, I prefer Meguiar's.
                    Remove swirls my friends.

I agree on the caddy. I have "go to" stuff in a caddy that was part of a Christmas gift set a few three years back or so. I then take that outside with me for products post wash (that are used nearly every wash) like UQD, HS Gel, QID and NS.

As for winter product storage, I agree waxes and dressings I would keep inside. I'm not sure there is a huge worry for tire cleaners and such, but I stay on the safe side and keep everything inside always.
