It looks like the previous owner didn't try to clean the paint and just put wax over top of the oxidation.Would the Deep Crystal Cleaner get me back to where I can get to the problem? Thanks

Deep Crystal Paint Cleaner will remove any existing wax, but whether it will be sufficient to correct the oxidation issue is dependent on a lot of variables.

What is the year, make and model of the vehicle in question? Do you have any pictures of it? We want to make sure we're talking about a true oxidation issue and not a clear coat failure situation. For oxidation there are a wide variety of products to choose from, and the level of oxidation may well dictate which product you should choose.

Do you know if the respray was a single stage or base/clear coat? Have you worked on this paint at all previously? If so, are you getting any color transfer onto your applicator (a sure sign of single stage paint)?

It was a base/clear coat.I have only tried a little ultimate compound with a buffer to see if I could get it off,but didn't.Their wasnt't any color on the pad.
