Re: NXT 2.0: What *kind* of paint protection?
Zaidgreat and Jossy,
The car is a cross between a garage queen and a daily driver. I do about 8,000 miles a year, but never use the car during the week--so all weekend excursions, etc. Yes, the perfection of the paint at this point makes any tiny defect very apparent, particularly in sunlight or the flourescent overheads in the garage. I doubt the Cleaner Wax is removing much clear coat, at least the way I've used it--and this car is only one year old. I did the Cleaner Wax routine on my last car for eight or nine years and the paint was immaculate and intact when I sold it last year. It was a clearcoat-silver Mercedes and the paint showed defects much less just because of the color. The current car is a BMW clearcoat-metallic black and certainly the color shows defects much more easily. I also wonder if the BMW paint is not softer than the Mercedes paint.
